I am a Quality Engineer in the wired and cloud enterprise domain at Extreme Networks and the co-founder of Nutrus, a tech for good nonprofit. I am currently making way for my master's as a prospective Fall'22 graduate.
I completed my Bachelor's in Computer Science and Engineering at Anna University where I graduated summa cum laude and currently work in the industry focusing on data-centric L2 & L3 Extreme Operating System (EXOS) functionalities and universal features spanning across Network Operating Systems (NOS).
I have over two years of professional experience leading Feature Qualifications (FQs) for EXOS platforms combined with product and research experience in developing AI-based products. I am particularly keen on using data effectively in decision-making, mathematical modeling, and process optimization that have impacts in operations and healthcare.
On a personal level, I am incredibly passionate about eradicating hunger, and my NPO, Nutrus, works towards creating an accessible ecosystem for channeling surplus food to the weaker sections of society in India. Digital innovations and engaged communities are critical components of our approach.
My goal is to be a deep-tech and social entrepreneur solving society's most important problems such as food insecurity among a range of societal issues. I love to delve deep into research, carry a strong rural connect, and zest for entrepreneurship topped with a firm belief that animals and birds own this planet as much as humans do.

A startup based out of Texas, Zilker is an expert digital Consultancy and Systems Integrator that combines the agility of a startup with the experience and expertise of a global consulting firm. Zilker offers digital experiences, cloud integration and managed processes using emerging technologies.
As an intern, my undergraduate capstone involved enhancing the conventional test-based examination portal of IBM by developing a fuzzy model to generate adaptive assesments and establishing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor the feature effectiveness post-deployment. I was also responsible for destructuring the monolithic architecture using microservices to function on Docker and improving the overall UI/UX of the portal.
The feature was launched in the IBM recruitment suite and it led to an 18% decrease in overall crash reports and a 20% increase in question customization.
Additionally, I volunteered to tap my web development expertise to build a business value dashboard for the accounting division and an internal platform for training employees for certifications to experiment my MVC skills using modern tech stack.
Front-end: Angular 5, Spring MVC, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX & Bootstrap 4
Middleware: Express JS
Back-end: Node JS, Spring Boot, Mongo DB & SQL
Worked with: Docker, Apache Couch DB, Google Maps, REST API, JSON, Volley & a ton of cool third-party libraries
Working under the tutelage of Dr. Harish Guruprasad and under an experienced Carnatic vocalist, I researched modeling musical attributes to characterize Carnatic ragas and built a Smart-music Tutor to provide real-time recommendations for user/instrument voice.
My work involved developing a GUI with Tkinter to detect user/instrument audio and pre-processing it using Music21 toolkit to provide recommendations for improvement or alternate phrases in the event of a mistake. The pre-processed audio was fed into Music Information Retrieval (MIR) toolbox, written in MATLAB, which extracts the pitch, tonality, rythm etc.
I experimented with several Machine Learning classification algorithms such as C4.5, Bayesian, Random Forest and K*. Ultimately, K* model achieved the highest accuracy of 94.72% and a Kappa statistic value of 0.91.
It was followed by Random Forest with 92.64%, then C4.5 with 89.70%, and then Bayesian classifier with accuracy of 86.76%. I observed that Random Forest classifier gives better accuracy as compared to K* when instances were less. But when the number of instances gets increased, K* performs better than Random Forest!

Social Work & Leadership
Nutrus, Tech & Product / Social Services
About
A Chennai-based tech-for-good nonprofit, Nutrus is helping mitigate India's food wastage problem by channelizing the surplus food from restaurants and educational institutions to the economically weaker sections of the society. By partnering with hotels and NGOs across India, we currently serve close to 250 needy people everyday.
A few partner hotels include: Hyatt Regency, Chalet Hotels, Orchid Hotels, Vidyarthi Bhavan, and Annalakshmi.
My work
Co-founded by my school mate and myself, I handle the organization's technical aspects. I developed the website and launched Nutrus Hub, an online platform to connect nonprofits with restaurants for collecting and distributing edible food to the needy households. When there is surplus food available, the operator can notify a near-by NGO with a click of a button! We're working on launching a mobile app for the same.
A few other initiatives we're working on:
Additionally, we've initiated an entrepreneurship boot camp to equip high school students with skills to explore starting up through technical projects. We're looking to scale to newer regions to expand our solutions and initiatives!
